Nepal's new Prime Minister Balen Shah faces mounting pressure as two ministers resigned within 26 days over accountability concerns, while strict border customs enforcement and surging fuel prices fuel public anger over unfulfilled reform promises.

Nepal police arrested former Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli. The arrest is related to protest deaths in September. New elections resulted from the protests.

Balen Shah has taken oath as Nepal's youngest PM at 35. He won by a landslide.
