Terms of Service

1. What we license to you

We license you to call the GeoMemo DispatchAPI and to use what we create: summaries, English headline translations, categories, country tags, scores and story groupings. We do not license any publisher’s articles, headlines or images. Those belong to their owners.

2. What the API returns

Headlines as published, links to the publisher, publication name and byline, the publisher’s preview image address, and our own metadata and summaries. We do not supply the text of articles.

3. How you may use it

• Show the publisher’s name and a working link to the original article with every item you display.
• Do not remove, change or hide source links, publisher names or bylines.
• Do not use the API to retrieve, store or republish the full text of articles, or to get around a publisher’s paywall.
• Do not present our summaries as the publisher’s words. Label them as machine-generated summaries.
• Do not resell or redistribute raw API output as a news data feed without an Enterprise licence.
• When we tell you an item or source has been removed, delete it from your systems within 7 days.
• Developer plan: development, testing and personal non-commercial projects only.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use and display content in your own product and in your jurisdiction, including any rights you need from publishers. [Indemnity clause: counsel to draft.]

5. Accuracy

Summaries, translations, tags and scores are produced by machine learning models. They can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important against the original article. The API is provided as is. [Warranty and liability limits: counsel to draft.]

6. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans renew monthly or yearly through Stripe until cancelled. You can cancel in the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. [Refunds, taxes, notice of price changes: counsel and accountant.]

7. Suspension

We may suspend keys that break these terms, share keys outside your organisation, or attempt to copy the archive in bulk. We tell you why.

8. For publishers: opt out and takedown

If you publish news and do not want your content indexed or served, email dispatch@geomemo.ai with your domain. We stop serving it within one business day and stop collecting it. Copyright notices go to our designated agent: [DMCA agent name and address, registered with the US Copyright Office].

We honour robots.txt and text and data mining reservations for content we serve. [Confirm before publishing: the current crawler setting must match this sentence.]
